This is the official webpage of Ladislau Cristian Andriş

Ladislau-Cristian Andriş was born in Timişoara-Romania in 1984. From the age of 7 he has been a student of the National Art College "Ion Vidu" in Timişoara, where he receives his first violin, and later viola lessons from his mother, Monica Andriş , and his uncle, Ionel Bota.

At age 18 he leaves Romania to study in Madrid, Freiburg im Breisgau, Lugano, and Hamburg - with teachers such as Wolfram Christ, Bruno Giuranna, Gérard Caussé, Marius Nichiteanu, Diemut Poppen, David Quiggle , and Jensen Horn Sim Lam. In 2009 he receives the "Artistic Studies Diploma" from the Music University in Freiburg im Breisgau. In 2010 he obtains the "Master of Arts in Music Performance Diploma" from the Lugano Conservatory and in 2011 he receives his Master's Degree from the Music University in Hamburg. All of the above degrees have been obtained with the highest mark: "Excellent".

Ladislau-Cristian Andriş has participated in interpretation courses at several prestigious Academies: the Gustav Mahler Academy in Potenza- Italy (2006, 2007, 2008), the Gustav Mahler Academy in Ferrara- Italy (2006), the Carl Flesch Academy in Baden-Baden- Germany (2008), the Goslar Academy- Germany (2008), and the Academy of Santander- Spain (2009) - where he studied with teachers such as Tabea Zimmermann, Hatto Beyerle, Hartmut Rohde, Barbara Westphal, Walter Küssner, Tanja Christ, Gruia Dan Mitu, and Andra Darzins.

The following musicians have been among his chamber music partners: Robert Cohen, Boris Garlitzki, Gerhard Schulz, Latica Honda Rosenberg, Isabel Charisius, Felix Renggli, Janne Thomsen, Herve Joulin, Bernhard Hartog, Liviu Prunaru, Wolfram Christ, Andra Darzins, Marin Cazacu, Olaf Manninger, Alexander Kerr, and Ulrich Wolff.

During his studies he received scholarships and grants from the Albéniz foundation, Psihoreli Construct, the Swiss Artists Foundation, the Vontobel family scholarship, the Armin Brenner Foundation, Herman & Milena Ebel, and the Swiss Confederation's Scholarship.

Ladislau-Cristian Andriş has won several awards, in Romania as well as in other countries. His concerts have taken him to Germany, France, Spain, England, Poland, Romania, Italy, and Switzerland.

Recent activities include a solo concert with Cristian Mandeal and the Romanian Youth Orchestra in May 2012, the master class given at the Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir/Turkey, the collaborations with "Camerata Salzburg", "Zürcher Kammerorchester" and "Orquestra de la Comunidad Valenciana", as well as the Romanian premiere of Max Bruch's Octet in August at the Romanian Athenaeum alongside Liviu Prunaru, Valentina Svyatlovskaya-Prunaru, Dorin Marc, Cristian Ifrim, Marin Cazacu, Rafael Butaru and Roxana Oprea.
